Devilishly good time Friday night in downtown jax

Time to pick up some devil horns and head downtown Friday, may 14th to celebrate the Great Fire of 1901. Dos Gatos is having a costume-optional hellishly themed bash and many other clubs are also celebrating in their own hot style.
Things get hot in The Core, so the bars and clubs are throwing a party to celebrate its history. Most of Downtown Jacksonville burned to the ground in The Great Fire on May 3, 1901. Downtown rose from the ashes and the rebuilding began shortly thereafter.

The night of The Great Fire Party, bars and clubs will turn up the heat and celebrate in their own style. From fire dancers and flaming drinks, to a bonfire and tiki torches, this party can only be in one place, The Core. Patrons wearing red get an added bonus at various venues from free cover to winning cash so the insider tip is to be red hot. Rock out that night to fire-inspired music from Kings of Leon and Johnny Cash to DJ SINsonic.

• Cafe 331, 331 W. Forsyth St.
• De Real Ting Cafe, 128 W. Adams St.
